The latest mystery heater to surface from the Spinnin’ camp, “Portland,” has now been claimed by house dignitary Watermät and big room ace MOGUAI. Watermät has been rather quiet since his virulent offering, “Frequency,” while MOGUAI has been grinding his gears with a remix of DVBBS being his previous endeavor. “Portland” may be MOGUAI’s most diverse track to date while this is exactly the territory that Watermät shines in.
Constructing a fortified deep house backbone, the unstoppable pair allow their monsterous synth horn to slowly surface into the light, and once they let it out of its cage, the tracks goes into complete overdrive. The pattern they construct with the lead melody is hypnotic and will have you unable to press the pause button when it takes you into a mesmeric state. “Portland” will be out on August 14th via Spinnin’ Records, but you can stream it now below.
