Ultra Music Festival has come a long way since its inception in 1999. Starting as a 1-day venture in Miami, UMF now sees shows that range from 1 to 3 days in over 10 locations worldwide. The newest addition to this list is Singapore, a country that’s currently experiencing rapid growth in its electronic scene.
Landing on September 19 this year, Ultra Singapore will take place at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Center, a renowned hotel complex located right on the shores of Marina Bay. With such a high-class location, it’s only fitting that UMF book top-tier acts. They have just announced Phase One of their lineup (the above photo,) and it’s honestly looking pretty great. Spinning on the 19th as headliners will be Skrillex, Alesso, and Nicky Romero while support will be provided by Skrillex’s protégé, Mija. With more to be announced, Ultra Singapore is already shaping up to be a massive show; let’s hope it can live up to the Ultra name!
