Stories of celebrities turned DJs are getting a lot of attention right now for all the wrong reasons. A lot of supposed dance music fans and producers are quite perturbed that celebrities in other mediums can so easily transition to playing top-tier clubs without the years of work that they’ve undoubtedly not put in. However, it’s important to recognize when certain celebrities were DJing before their fandom.

So when Kristian Nairn dropped a new track a couple days ago, I was actually pretty excited to check it out. Turns out, it’s a super fire future house tune! This is definitely one of the better tracks I’ve heard recently, taking its time to build and work out a unique rhythm, rather than riding on the examples of others.
