We’ve got something extra fresh for those ears of yours today: a brand new tune from Los Angeles power-duo, Lost City. Made up of veteran producers Noah D and No Thing, Lost City aims to redefine the classic jungle sound they fell in love with over 10 years ago and shed new light on this critically underrated genre. Combining their gritty, modern production styles with the signature dark rhythmic structures, along with a heaping helping of sub-bass, the two have created a new iteration that they simply call JNGL.
And since we’re sure you’re itching to hear what we’re talking about, here’s that new tune we mentioned! ‘Down For Me’ features the sultry vocals of Michele Wylen and definitely doesn’t slack on the groove factor. The bass-line is downright irresistible, with the perfect amount of crunchy synth work filling out the sonic spectrum. Crisp percussion breaks echo just under the surface, keeping the track moving steadily forward. Best of all, ‘Down For Me’ has been released as a free download; so, give this nu-skool jungle banger a listen after the jump and be sure to grab a copy if you’re feeling the vibes.
