Tiësto’s Most Iconic Hit Gets Operatic Rendition At Sensation White [Video]

Duncan Stutterheim, the co-founder of legendary brand Sensation, had an epic going-out party last weekend. Catalyzing monstrous festivals such as Tomorrowland and Mysteryland, it was only fitting that his final goodbye was the 15th anniversary of the world-renowned Dutch event Sensation White. To celebrate the CEO’s departure, they went all-out in terms of production quality and showmanship. Showcasing high-flying trapeze acrobats and insane pyrotechnics, Sensation wanted to make sure that their frontman left with an accurate depiction of his tireless efforts. The magnificent centerpiece, however, was an operatic interpretation of one of Tiësto’s most iconic hits. The 500-person choir performed a rendition of “Adagio For Strings“, and it’s guaranteed to give you the chills.

The original track, first written by classical composer Samuel Barber, has been sampled by multiple EDM legends including Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, and of course, Tiësto. This momentous hymn was conducted in the middle of a 15-minute megamix that unveiled several classic tracks, leaving the crowd in complete awe. I’m sure you could imagine the overwhelming sensation when those strobes and CO2 cannons exploded onto the crowd during the climax of Tiësto’s magnus opus. Check out the video below!
