Chicago music fans have been left wanting more these past few years after being witnesses to other beach front fest’s attempting to set roots here in the city with little success. So when React Presents announced they were going to have a hand in creating something new the people of this city couldn’t wait. This July get ready to feel the sand between your toes as you groove to the sounds of Phantogram, Art Department, Empire of the Sun, Zhu, Cashmere Cat, and more at Mamby on the Beach! This festival has been long anticipated and we can’t wait to step foot on the beach in just a little less than two weeks.
4 Reasons Why Chicago Needs Mamby
1) The Music 
Mamby’s lineup caters to a specific crowd that more often than not are die hard fans of these genres. The lineup is tailored to the tastes that many Chicagoan’s have when it comes to electronic. Sure we have our bass heads and trance fans but one thing is certain… we are overflowing with love for house music, we always have and always will. And thats why Mamby is so awesome for many people because we really do not have a festival that caters just to this niche. We see key artists sprinkling the lineups of other festivals (like Derrick Carter or Jamie Jones at Spring Awakening) but this city has yet to truly see a lineup dedicated to what it wants to hear.
2) The People
Similar to the kind of music that Mamby is bringing it is also bringing a certain crowd. We wont see the bass heads head banging front row or anything of that sort. We will see people grooving to the music and having a fantastic time. We wont see attendee’s too young to be there in our minds or kids with kandi up to their elbows, no, we will see a crowd who is solely there for the music and their love of it which is something everyone needs to experience.
3) The Location
Its summer and what bigger sign of that than the beach? That is exactly why the location of this festival is so fantastic. Not only do we get scenic views of the city all while on the lake front listening to great music and squishing sand between your toes. You really can’t ask for much more especially since React Presents will also be providing a number of different transportation options for the festival at Oakwood Beach! Permium parking, free shuttles (From the CTA Cermak-China Town Red line and Cermak-McCormick Place Green line running noon to 11pm), and bike valet via the bike path which runs directly to Oakwood. So which ever way you choose to get there React has you covered so you can enjoy as much time as possible at the festival. By the end of the weekend you’ll probably have to drag me off the beach to get me to leave.
4) The After Parties
In Chicago the party never really stops and it isn’t a Chicago festival with out a whole slew of ways to keep your night going after the festival ends.
