Over the course of three days at Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, there was one death, over 76 people arrested on felony counts, and more than 1,400 festival goers treated by the medical staff.
Medical calls totaled out at 1,426, including 27 attendees that were taken to the hospital during the festival from Friday to Sunday and 512 between Sunday night and Monday. Thirty-one of the felony arrests were made between Sunday night and Monday morning as well. The majority of which were drug related.
One of the cases led to an extremely unfortunate death on Saturday night at the festival care center. The Clark County Coroner’s Office still has yet to release that attendee’s name or cause of death.
“Based on the location and circumstances involved (in the death), it’ll take four to eight weeks before we’ll have toxicology results ack and can determine the cause of death.”
-Derek Dubasik, Clark County Coroner’s Investigator
