Seventy million dollars is an unfathomable amount of money to most people. Even people with a Master’s degree can expect to earn only $2.5 million over their entire lifetime. So blowing over half of that on drugs is just simply unbelievable. But it happened.
Scott Storch, famed music producer who produced tracks for Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, recently filed for bankruptcy.
Storch filed for bankruptcy claiming he has a grand total of $3,600 of assets to his name — $100 in cash, $500 in clothing and a $3k watch. Most shocking … his music companies are valued at $0.
According to TMZ, Storch blew over $30 million just on drugs in a 6 month span. For those of us struggling to get by each month, blowing that kind of cash on just drugs is pretty unreal. I don’t even know of any drugs that would cost that much in such a short time span unless you were buying for 1,000 of your friends at a time.
The rest was spent on “cars, houses and other extravagances.”
Daft Punk is currently worth $70 million … but I really wouldn’t worry too much about them.
