While your eyes were fixated towards EDC Las Vegas, Pierce Fulton and Ansolo quietly revealed their collab project Shirts & Skins that’s going to make some serious noise. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Fulton and Ansolo combine forces. Last year, the latter released an incredibly groovy house remix of Fulton’s “Runaway.” Rather than combining their personal styles – Fulton with his progressive house sound and Ansolo who has a dancey mainstage vibe – Shirts & Skins delve into a new sound entirely, making a genre which the duo playfully describe as “sexy house.”
Their debut release is a funky, slightly disco-house remix of Genius of Time‘s 2013 hit “Same Old Place.” This tune not only shows off a style we’ve never seen from either party, but it’s a refreshing change of pace too. Shirts & Skins definitely have a lot of promise, and I’m excited to see where this new collaboration goes. Listen to the track below, and pick up a free download too.
