News emerged from India this morning in what can only be considered a cruel joke.
DJ by night Arun Valmiki was shot dead after “refusing to play a requested song.” Something to egregious sounds absolutely counter to the culture that DJs and producers have fostered, yet anomalies can obviously occur.
Valmiki was “spinning at a birthday party in Sidhauli village in the Uttar Pradesh provence of India when he was murdered by a disgruntled attendee, India TV News reports.” 
Valmiki was rushed to a nearby hospital, but pronounced dead on the scene.
His murderer, known only as Ishu, evaded police and is still on the run.
The song request that spawned the dispute also remains in question.
