Digital Lab vs. Henrix – Drop Low [Arkade]

Deep house and future house have been on an exponential climb as of late, as everyone seems to be digging the all-out dance vibe. Well, Henrix has the fix for your highly addictive crave, and this time it comes with help from Florida neighbor Digital Lab. With both house masterminds hailing from the sunny beaches of Miami, it’s not surprising that “Drop Low” echoes its groovy, toe-tapping atmosphere.

It starts out with an ominous growl layered over a powerful, semi-filtered kick. Without giving you any time to relax, it jumps straight into the build, with an emanating riser flowing over the gradually enlarging growl. A classic vocal sample reminds you of the usual effects of bass – as if you forgot – and commands you to react accordingly. In comes the drop, and you’re forced to bob your head and tap your feet to match the contagious energy of this absolute filth machine. The second verse reveals a little more diversity from the track, as the Miami masterminds integrate a deep, Marimba-esque synth to an increasingly rich melody. Usually an unaltered second drop is a disappointment, but this one is so dirty that we can definitely let it slide.

The track has been rightfully picked up by Kaskade’s label Arkade, and was debuted by the legendary producer himself during his set at Coachella. In other words, Henrix and Digital Lab certainly warrant a visit during your next festival experience, as they are primed to make massive moves for the second half of 2015. Check out the track below!
