The Las Vegas Police Department released a statistical summary of the first night of Electric Daisy Carnival, which took place at the Las Vegas Speedway last night. Approximately 134,000 attended Friday’s opening festivities, with temperatures well into the 100s. LVPD reported 506 “mostly minor” medic calls, with only 10 transports to the local hospital. There were also 19 felony artists (all drug-related) and only one DUI alcohol arrests with no fatalities. Insomniac reported that 102 attendees were ejected from the festival as well. No word on whether or not any of the medic calls and transports from EDC Las Vegas were due to dehydration or from drug related issues.
