This year, we’re seeing many artists who were faithful to big-room, club-leveling anthems desert what made them popular. These artists are shifting away from electro-house, some towards housier tunes, and others to more genre-bending music á la Jack Ü. In a recent interview with Miami New Times, Borgore has joined this movement, saying he doesn’t want to create music like what’s been coming out as of late.
I want to write songs rather than write bangers. I want to be true to myself as an artist and create the music I want to create, collaborate with the people I want to collaborate with.
His latest EP will feature collabs with some of his favorite rappers who at this moment have not been revealed to the public. All we know is that die-hard Borgore fans should be prepared to see a different side of the producer in the upcoming months. No word on if this will affect Booty for Borgore, but my guess is that EDM butts everywhere are safe for now.
