In celebration of Season 3 of Orange Is The New Black, Sullivan King gives his own remix tribute to the opening theme.
Beginning with an innocuous synth line and bit of guitar, the real ride begins when the lyrics begin. “Think of all the roads…” Fans of the show will feel chills up and down their arms and back, but it gets even better at the drop as you hear a sample of Crazy Eyes screaming, “I. WILL. CUT. YOU.”
From there, you get a taste of an apocalyptic drop that sounds like the soundtrack were the inmates at Litchfield Penitentiary subjected to the aggressor frequency from Kingsman. Sullivan King does a nice bit of sound design here, layering a high synth over the low bassline, creating an immense amount of space and depth in the track. Best of all, you wouldn’t notice if you weren’t really listening for it. 
As far as tribute remixes to television theme songs go, this beats any remix of Game Of Thrones handily.
