Last week Billboard announced that Zedd would be joining Lady Antebellum onstage for a never before seen Country/EDM crossover medley. The rockers kicked off the award show with their hit smash “Long Stretch of Love,” backed by a live band before Zedd appeared behind them on piano. The trio then sang the first chorus of his new single “Beautiful Now” to a slightly subdued crowd before a flash of pyro and the song’s lighthearted drop brought the crowd’s energy back up. Zedd disappeared just as quickly as he appeared, and Lady Antebellum closed their performance out with another chorus of “Long Stretch of Love.”
While the performance seemed slightly disjointed, it’s still enjoyable and definitely a big step in the right direction as far as EDM crossovers go. Watch part of the performance below:
