As if he wasn’t everywhere already, Spinnin’ Sessions welcomed Diplo as their guest for episode 109. A bit different than other normal episodes, the first 30-minutes of this show is a dedicated ID session for Spinnin’s upcoming batch of releases, including Jay Hardway’s progressive house thumper “Wake Up.” It’s a lot to pack into just half an hour, and a worthy buildup before Diplo commandeers the vibe train for the guest mix.
Overall, it’s a typical Diplo mix, but all that means is expect the unexpected. Of course he’s tossed in a few token trap anthems, but he’s also peppered in a solid grip of house in addition to moombah and Jungle Terror. Though not as frenetic as his headlining sets, Diplo’s mixing is as fun as ever in this rowdy 30-minute session.
