Deadmau5 Show Goes Free After Jack Ü Cancels Performance For Gumball 3000

The Gumball 3000 road rally event has been hit with an interesting turn of events today that is continuing to unfold as we speak. The original plan included a two day performance schedule including Deadmau5, The Alchemist, Jack Ü, and more at the MGM Resorts Village in Las Vegas. We’ve now received word from Las Vegas Weekly editor Mike Prevatt, however, that several changes are now taking place.

First, Jack Ü will no longer be attending the festivities. The event will not carry over into Saturday.

Apparently, Gumball has “not received any further word [on the reasoning behind this] other than ‘due to circumstances not under our control'”. Several hours later, Mike revealed that fans who have already purchased tickets will receive full refunds and that all remaining tickets are free.

Now, Tony Hawk‘s demonstration has been moved to 9pm tonight rather than its original slot scheduled for tomorrow. The new set times have been posted for today’s event here:

So far, we’ve received no real information as to why these major changes are going into effect. Skrillex played a set at Vegas’ Encore Beach Club just today, and Diplo has remained silent on the matter thus far. They will be hosting an event tonight in Los Angeles, however, for the filming of their “Where Are Ü Now” music video with Justin Bieber. Whether they will actually be in attendance or not, we don’t know.
