So not everyone likes Zedd’s album. We can understand the divisiveness – it’s definitely a far cry from his work on Clarity, but it’s clear that the production value has been bumped up ten fold and the quality of the music itself is undeniable. I suppose in that situation the only thing you can do is wait to see how it goes down live; and if Zedd’s performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night was any indication, his shows are going to be a lot of fun.
For the performance, Zedd performed “Beautiful Now”, arguably one of the poppiest tracks on True Colors, with an appearance by vocalist Jon Bellion, Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger, and Zedd’s own brother, Arkadi. The live vocals went down really well with the live crowd and Zedd plays live keyboard to add more to the live performance aspect.
It’s pop EDM at its pinnacle, but damn it if that doesn’t look and sound fun to dance to. Check it out below.
