For the third year in a row, Kannibalen has released its annual Christmas compilation, All I Want For Christmas Is Bass. This year, the Montreal-based label has truly outdone itself with new original tracks from HVDES x ATLAST, KJ Sawka x Hi I’m Ghost, Jaykode x Blanke, Jacknife, Ryan Browne, and more.
It also includes a new VIP of “Demons” by Kai Wachi which is, quite simply put, ferocious.
The compilation is short enough that pretty much every track is a so-called stand out, but there are still a few that require extra attention. We’ve already loaded heaps of praise on the Jaykode x Blanke collaboration, which, even after hearing all the tracks, is still our favorite on the release. 
HVDES and ATLAST created something really special with “Mind Control,” as well. The texture on the synths is just wonderful, and the melody that goes along with it reminds us of the heyday of electro house. And then there’s the KJ Sawka and Hi I’m Ghost collaboration, which combines Ghost’s quirky vocal style with the impeccable percussion of Sawka for a one-of-a-kind piece of music.
JACKNIFE’s “Code Black” has been a staple of Kannibalen bosses’ Black Tiger Sex Machine’s sets for most of the year, and Ryan Browne’s “EPITAPH” melds his own percussion and guitar prowess with some super sexy horns for fantastic effect.
