The falling out between Sony and Soundcloud has split the community as the situation only worsens. Soundcloud, which offers free streaming of music on their platform, was unable to reach a deal with Sony that would allow their artists’ music to be properly monetized. In retaliation, Sony has decided to pull its entire catalog from Soundcloud.
While Sony is within their rights to do so, the “great purge” is hurting their artists more than anyone.
Madeon has announced that all of his music, which was released through Columbia, will be taken down in the next few days.
