First there was the selfie stick, now drones are taking a piece of the action. The tiny remote-controlled helicopters are at the height of their popularity, from adult “toys” to potential delivery vehicles from Amazon. Now, a California tech firm named Lily thinks that drones can revolutionize the selfie game. In probably the creepiest way possible, the waterproof drone is designed to follow a device with a homing beacon 15 meters up for HD pictures and video. Currently, the pre-sale price is $499 and the standard retail price will be $999. Suddenly a $20 selfie stick isn’t the worst idea, is it? We can’t wait to watch the first few people crash their drones into each other at a festival.
