Black Butter Records Announces Official Movement Afterparty Featuring Gorgon City, MK, and Lee Foss

Since its inception in 2010, Black Butter Records has slowly ingratiated itself with the dance music community, thanks to its unique blend of groove-driven music and forward-thinking signings. Originally, the UK-based dance imprint began as a channel for its founders, Olly Wood, Henry Village, and Joe Gossa, to release the music of their artists and stand up against the “genre-specific” requirements of many other dance label’s at the time, but in its five years of existence, Black Butter Records has grown into one of London’s, and dance music’s, most iconic labels.

Not only has Black Butter Records consistently put out great releases, like “A&E” by the Grammy-winning band, Clean Bandit, but the dance imprint has also made a name for itself throwing some of the raddest parties around the world. During the 2015 Winter Music Conference, Black Butter took over Miami’s Treehouse nightclub for a label showcase that featured Gorgon City, Kidnap Kid, My Nu Leng, and Wayward. Ahead of Detroit’s massive Movement Music Festival, Black Butter Records has announced their official Movement Afterparty, which will not only feature the imprint’s own Gorgon City and Kidnap Kid, but also a back-to-back set by MK and Lee Foss.

Tickets to their after-party are available for purchase here, and check out the aftermovie of their latest Black Butter party in New York below!
