The Pure Nightclub, based in Jacksonville, Florida, was involved in a massive drug-bust operation this week. Sheriff John Rutherford announced in a press conference yesterday that 16 felony arrests were made on counts of possession of cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and molly. An additional 20 outstanding warrants were issued, as this is part of a large scale operation called “Operation Poppin’ Molly.” Four of the 36 suspects have been identified as Pure employees, and have made this an even bigger situation with the club. Rightfully so, Pure has been shut down indefinitely, and can reopen once they resolve all of their outstanding code violations.
Sheriff Rutherford has stated that this extensive operation does not stop with Pure, but clearly cannot reveal the rest of the organizations and nightclubs involved in the future of this investigation.
