Phoebe Ryan has certainly been making her way around the remix circuit recently, with one of her latest tracks, “Mine,” getting the remix treatment from Illenium and LYNOS.
This time around, her song “Dead” gets an official remix from Louis Vivet. The remix is very melodically similar to the original, with just a little more dance. To me, that makes a lot of sense – it’s definitely one of the paths less taken with remixes. When you have a really good source material, it’s often smarter to leave most of it intact and infuse your own characteristic style in some other fashion. Perhaps Louis Vivet is showing restraint.
Regardless, this indie dance tune has a soul of its own, and it’s definitely a pleasure to listen to. Check it out below.
