Debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival, As I AM follows Adam Goldstein’s trajectory from childhood to DJ superstardom. In addition to his success as a pioneer of the “mash-up,” DJ AM was known to battle numerous afflictions such as depression, addiction, and obesity throughout his life. Still, DJ AM went on to legitimize the modern Vegas residency and influence an entire industry. Unfortunately, Goldstein continued to suffer. He went on to endure extreme survivor’s guilt and post-traumatic-stress after a horrific plane crash in 2008, which spared himself and Travis Barker, but killed four others. Despite all he faced, DJ AM was known for his humility and revered by many as a man of others. Tragically, in 2009, Adam Goldstein passed away from a drug overdose at the age of 36.
