Nora En Pure is so far out of my comfort zone, I feel like I’m attending a middle school dance party where everyone is still more popular than me. Still, this one tune (out of many) caught my attention and I would be remiss if I didn’t bring it up to our readers.
I’m a little late to the party (it’s already been out for two weeks), but Nora En Pure’s remix of “One Thing” from Me & My Toothbrush is soothing groovy bliss. To be honest, I’m not really a fan of the section right after the drops, when it’s just the deep house bassline. But as soon as the melody and claps come in, it steadily picks up groove until I just can’t sit still in my chair.
The vocals are reminiscent of early era techno/house, giving it that timeless feel. Despite my lack of appreciation for good house music, I would definitely feel comfortable playing this one on a long drive.
