It’s no 30 year hiatus, but The Chemical Brothers are back with their first studio album in five years. Their new album is called Born in the Echoes, and will be out July 17 via Astralwerks.
With that news comes the first single from the album, “Sometimes I Feel So Deserted” – a rolling, techy beat with distorted guitars and modulated vocals, perfect for that dark room dancefloor late at night. The rest of the album features huge guests like St. Vincent, Beck, Q-Tip, Cate Le Bon, and Ali Love.
In an interview, Tom Rowlands said, “The most important feature of the album is that it connects with us emotionally in some way. We hope for finding a new way to make you feel. We dream of new sounds and different frames. We have worked with some guest singers but mostly the album is pure Chemical Brothers.”
