After months of waiting, Major Lazer‘s cartoon was finally premiered on FXX last week. Featuring colorful, mesmerizing animation and a completely original soundtrack, this 10 minute episode is definitely a tribute to Jamaica and its most famous plant.
The plot seems to take a backseat to the overall audio/visual experience of the cartoon, transforming a relatively simplistic concept into a overwhelming, psychedelic journey. The Major Lazer series is set to showcase many guest stars from all different backgrounds, including Aziz Ansari, Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig, Charli XCX, and RiFF RAFF to name a few.
