Coachella is one of the few major all ages festivals that electronic music fans will flock to regardless of the little whippersnappers stepping on your feet as they run to their mommy’s teet. Still, IDs are required for some things – like getting into the beer gardens.
The first weekend of this year’s Coachella saw 354 IDs confiscated by Coachella security. As TMZ points out, although “technically it’s a crime to flash one, no one really gets prosecuted.”
The bogus IDs are actually put to good use. They’re sent to the California Dept. of Alcoholic Beverage Control so investigators can eyeball state of the art counterfeit documents.
So please do us all a favor when you’re at Coachella this weekend, leave the drinking (on venue) to the adults, and go enjoy the music uninhibited.
