I remember playing Guitar Hero in middle school, absolutely loving to play on the large piece of plastic. I didn’t have the dexterity for real guitar so this was about as good as it was going to get. As I grew up and platforms changed, I sort of let Guitar Hero fall aside in favor of other interests. By the look of the new one in the trailer below, however, I might have to pick up the axe once again.
One of the featured artists whose music will be making an appearance in the new game is none other than Skrillex. Having already been featured on the game with fan-made edits of “Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites” and “Cinema” (which looks absolutely impossible), Skrillex will be officially featured on the newest Guitar Hero Live. Other artists on the lineup include My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Ed Sheeran, The Killers, and more. Track names haven’t been released yet, but we’re probably going to see a track from either Recess or Jack Ü on the game.
The game is scheduled to be released later this year to all major platforms (sans PC). You can pre-order it here. Check out the full list of featured artists here.
