Duncan Stutterheim, Founder Of ID&T, Quits After 23 Years

Sad news today as one of EDM’s greatest entrepreneurs, Duncan Stutterheim, has announced that he is quiting the company he helped start. This year’s Sensation Amsterdam will be his final show as he plans to try something new in his career.

This move comes after American led SFX acquired the event mammoth that is responsible for some of the world’s greatest parties in the world such as Tomorrowland, Sensation and TomorrowWorld.

When announcing his decision to quit, Duncan Stutterheim voiced his mixed feelings to dutch newspaper, ‘Volkskrant‘:

“For example Martin Garrix’ music, I can appreciate it, but I’m not dancing to it. It also has something to do with my age.” -Duncan Stutterheim

Duncan, who is now 43, will be taking a year off to enjoy himself and plan his next move. The company will regroup and will be in need to actively seek a replacement. On the eve of Summer festival season, ID&T will need to act fast to find someone to fill the big shoes left behind.
