This isn’t Santa’s Milk N Cookies. It’s no secret this Chicago based duo knows how to throw down, but their remix of ‘Compass’ isn’t what you’d expect. They’ve complemented Zella Day’s incredible vocal talent with a very different interpretation of the piano driven original.
‘Compass’ is the first of two chilled remixes that they’ve cooked up. The second is set to release next week. In this remix, Milk N Cookies injects the dramatic original with a proper dose of funk. They’ve left plenty of room for each element to breath, allowing the supporting bass-line to shine through. That wavy synth lead alone is enough to boil over my awesome intake for the day, and if you like the first bit, just wait for the second break-down.
