The masked trio of Black Tiger Sex Machine hailing from Montreal are poised to have one of the best festival seasons of their career this summer. Beginning in Atlanta, Georgia at the beautiful SweetWater 420 Festival the group will introduce their rock-inspired heavy electro sound to the area for the first time. Known for their live production and post-apocalyptic visuals, seeing these guys thrown down in the flesh is a massive treat. They are also slated to play Lollapalooza this year, which is a slightly bigger bill than 420 Fest but, I feel bad for those who venture to Lolla to see live acts like Black Tiger Sex Machine. Atlanta doesn’t know how spoiled it is to see these musicians this up-close-and-personal in a such an intimate setting. You don’t want to be 100 rows back when Black Tiger Sex Machine takes the stage.
Black Tiger Sex Machine are also the founders of Kannibalen Records which has quickly become one of the top independent labels in the game. They have brought on some of the best and heaviest-hitting acts in the bass game today: Kai Wachi, Snails, Apashe, and Dabin to name only a few. This Apashe x Dabin x Kai Wachi tri-collab called “Forsaken” is one of the most beautiful examples of picturesque feminine vocals and light, airy melodies giving way to filthy dubstep bass drops that makes you almost want to cry before that gut-crunching good feeling of grimy bass hits your insides and leaves you no choice but to move your body.
This track by Kannibalen superstar Snails featuring vocalist Big Ali was dropped today [4.7.14] and is the definition of face-melting bass. I imagine it’s possible Atlanta hears this song live in a few weeks… but I’m just guessing 🙂
