Darude Makes His Triumphant Return

A perfectly executed release with just enough “Sandstorm” influence to make you smile, Darude has put together one helluva new record. Featuring the suave AI AM, whose top-line harmonies are simply pitch-perfect, this record is due for worldwide release this April 10th.

The production is top-notch with logical structuring and quality sound design riding seamlessly in accompaniment of a creative and professionally executed music video. It is quite the step up from the “Sandstorm” music video, I might add. Entitled “Beautiful Alien” the visual assemblage is clearly an ode to the extraterrestrial, and maintains a strong celestial vibe throughout.

The real story here, however, is how this new hit was released. You see, on April 1st (April Fool’s Day) YouTube decided to prank everyone and auto-suggest “Darude-Sandstorm” for any music related searches. This clearly increased traffic on his account, where viewers were then exposed to a new record which makes tasteful use of a few elements from “Sandstorm.” “Beatiful Alien,” however, serves as a refreshing new look for the legend, and builds excitement for more potential releases.

Let us know what you think of the record in the comments below, we quite enjoyed it ourselves!
