Live acts are increasing in demand in the dance music scene. As seen by Krewella’s Ultra performance, as well as acts like GRiZ and Black Tiger Sex Machine, a band can make a difference. Kliemax is one such electronic band that is attempting to bridge the two worlds that most listener’s think about as distinct.
The Texas group is looking to make a break with their diverse sound, exemplified in part by “Primal,” a hybrid style track that is getting extra attention with the premiere of its Youtube stream. “Primal” brings together strong, hard basses with wet plucks to deliver one solid sonic beast. Expect for trap arms to ensue when this one gets airtime. “Primal” comes off the group’s Explode EP that can be purchased below.
