The Saturate! Records crew is back with another fiery release, this time from Virginia’s own, Ethan Glass. Spanning eight tracks of all original music, the Molten Chore EP is a study in wonky, left-field bass music. High energy, in-your-face sound design dominates the arrangement; heavy handed, grimy mid-range blasts are interspersed with distorted brass synths and pixelated arpeggios, creating an otherworldly fusion of sonic intensity. The drum patterns are forever shifting as the EP progresses, sometimes a driving maelstrom of beat madness and sometimes straight to the point. And, as always, the low end reigns supreme; this is some of Glass‘ best work yet and we’re supremely stoked to see his artistry progressing.
To sum up, if you dig music in the vein of G Jones, Bleep Bloop, Zeke Beats, and other Saturate! Records alumni, then the Molten Chore EP should already be making its way to your ‘Download’ folder. Grab the full release as a pay-what-you-can download on the label’s Bandcamp and be sure to show Ethan Glass some support if you’re feelin’ the vibes!
