A rather unfortunate headline, but one I feel the need to report on nevertheless.
The festival is Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is expected to host some 900,000 people this year. Held on 11 stages over the span of 11 days, this festival abides to it’s rock roots more than modern dance music.
That being said, they had the wit to book Kaskade; but they couldn’t follow that up with a more respected DJ than Paris Hilton? Regardless of their reasoning, the festival boasts plenty of other attractions to distract you, including a stacked lineup, reasonably priced tickets, and omnipotent beer culture.
Summerfest is definitely worth a visit for those stricken with festival wanderlust, but we think that Hilton’s $1 million booking cost could’ve been spent in a better manner… namely on better DJs.
