Lana Del Rey – Video Games (Dirge x Howl Remix)

Howl has been a favorite artist of mine to watch over the past year because his productions are always interesting and refreshing to hear, especially to those like me who spend most of their time constantly engulfed in a steady stream of house music. For his latest, he has put his own unique spin on Lana Del Rey’s popular “Video Games” with the help of fellow countryman, Dirge.

There is a significant low key vibe in this song. It is largely a chilled atmosphere that provide backing to Lana’s vocals. Heavy, powerful drums are introduced during the climax where uplifting synth bursts round out the high mark of the track. There has been nothing but quality released by this young Australian producer and Howl proves once again why he is one of the best up and coming producers out of that country.
