For all of you upset that you won’t be at Ultra Music Festival this year, don’t fret – Streaming website Twitch will be broadcasting the event which starts on Friday. Presented by 7UP, the entire festival will be available all three days on Twitch.tv/ultra. Though Twitch is traditionally an online community for gamers, the site has been gaining popularity for streaming live dance music events, including Jack Ü’s 24-hour broadcast earlier this month. The programming will include streams and interviews from many of your favorite dance music stars on all Ultra stages, which include headliners like Armin Van Buuren, Afrojack, Bassnectar, Krewella, Tiesto, and so many more. In case you don’t want to sit at home all weekend watching, Twitch also has a app for viewing on the go.
Our community has illustrated a strong affinity for live music, making Twitch a compelling new way for artists to connect with their fans. Being able to host Ultra Music Festival on our platform with sponsorship with a brand like 7UP is a testament to the power of live social video.” – Colin Carrier , CSO and Head of Music, Twitch
