This coming Friday, March 20, 2015 at 7:30PM CST (aka TONIGHT!), Your EDM will have the distinct honor of interviewing electronic music superstar Thomas Newson. However this interview will be a little different than usual, this time we will be using FireChat: an app that creates a mesh network between phones (Bluetooth/WiFi etc.), allowing you to message & connect with your friends even if you don’t have service. It’s kind of like a personalized live chat room where you can interact directly with the artists and us as the interview happens from UME in South Padre, Texas. In the best words, it’s THE app for the upcoming festival season because who wants to be stuck draining their phone battery all night trying to send that one text to meet-up with your group when you can be one of the only groups in the loop?
