I am so absolutely excited to bring this edit to you, our readers.
In advance of Serenity Gathering this weekend, Your EDM has the opportunity to premiere an amazing track from two artists from Serenity – CloZee & Nortroniks. This would definitely fall under the misunderstood genre of IDM, which strives to shake off any semblance of genres, ironically. The tribal drums and deep, booming bassline draw you in while the vocals absolutely tantalize your ears and senses. The vibe and rhythm of everything feels so natural to the body and mind that you can’t help but become lost in the sound. Just allow yourself to get lost in the sound and feel yourself sway… I guarantee you a more relaxed feeling afterward.
Fans of bass music might recognize the string and piano samples at 0:14 and 2:39 from the beginning of Magnetic Man in “Flying Into Tokyo.” Both were likely sampled from a source that I can’t identify, but the reason I bring it up is this – no matter what kind of music you’re making, in the end, a good, solid base is absolutely necessary for success and both of these tracks in question have got that nailed down.
While CYN will not be at Serenity Gathering, you can catch Nortroniks on the main stage at 5pm on Friday; and you can see CloZee in the early hours of Monday morning, at 2am.
Limited tickets are still available for the festival which begins tomorrow at 5pm PST, you can get them via The Untz or on Vendini. Be sure to check out the stacked lineup for the main stage below.
