This one is for all the producers and bonafide beat freaks out there! Mochipet‘s latest EP Psilocybin Samurai has been slotted for an official remix competition, hosted by Petnation Records and The Untz. Participants can choose to create their own version of the album’s title track or the glitched out, crunked up laser-bass tune, ‘Cractal Frunk’. The grand prize winner and the runner up will both receive an official release on the Psilocybin Samurai Remixed album, as well as plenty of state-of-the-art gear from Ableton Live, Keith McMillen Instruments, and DJ TechTools.
But, wait, there’s more! Joining Mochipet to judge the submissions will be several of bass music’s finest: Ill Gates, eDIT (of The Glitch Mob), Mr. Lif, and the world renowned Z-Trip. Submissions are due on April 14th, a little under a month from now, and must be submitted to the official Soundcloud group.
