Hudson Mohawke’s Album Trailer Is Straight Out Of A Horror Film

Hudson Mohawke, the genius behind hits like “Chimes,” and collaborator in TNGHT (with Lunice), who released hits like “Higher Ground,” is releasing his sophomore album on June 15 (16 in North America).

Not much is known about this album, such as the tracklist, but it will be called Lantern.

The album trailer just dropped this morning on YouTube and it’s straight out a horror film. Ronald McDonald is seen looking haggard, staggering down a dark alley. I mean… that’s basically it. As the noise and sound drones on in the background, atmosphere builds around the subject in question as he runs from some unknown assailant. Someone obviously taught the Mohawke team about cinematography, because the adage “Less Is More” rings true here more than ever.
