This 6-Hour Dusky Set is Perfect for Any Occasion

The unbelievable success of Dusky's "Careless" in 2013 brought deep house out of the shadows and back into the spotlight. Since then, Nick and Alfie have capitalized on its success, launching their record label 17 Steps over the summer while touring heavily across the US and Europe. With festival season on hiatus, Dusky have begun releasing new material like Yoohoo early last month. Our eyes are still on this duo, who will continue to change the landscape of UK house as its popularity continues to grow.

Last year, Dusky had a successful outing at WMC, headlining some of the best shows in the city, including Hard Miami and the Anjunadeep Showcase. This year, they’re returning to one of their favorite venues, and are bringing a new set of friends along for the ride. On Wednesday night, Alfie and Nick will be hosting Dusky & Friends at Treehouse, a dark, sultry house and techno getaway right in the heart of South Beach. Joining them are Agoria, Danny Daze, Jackmaster, KiNK, Murk, and Skream. The pair are also up for Best House/Garage/Deep House DJ alongside Dixon, Hot Since 82, Justin Martin, Louie Vegas, MK, Mark Knight, and Seth Troxler at this year’s IDMAs. As all eyes begin to fall on South Beach, each artist is preparing for it in different ways, releasing EPs, compilations, long-awaited remixes, and more. Dusky has released a serious 6-hour set from last year’s “The Next Step Tour,” a world-wide excursion of extended sets from UK to New Zealand and back. Even though most were only supposed to be four hours, this one in particular from London stretched on, which you can hear in full below. As someone who witnessed the tour firsthand, I suggest you block out a nice chunk of time to listen. Once you start, there’s no turning back.

Tickets for Dusky & Friends on Wednesday, March 25 are available here.
