Steve Aoki Teams Up with Linkin Park for “Horizons”

Here we go again. Another rock group is teaming up with a big EDM personality in an effort to boost sales as Linkin Park and Steve Aoki join forces to bring us “Horizons.” While this isn’t the first time the duo has collaborated, this time around sees a much lower production quality and a much more generic sound, opting for those big room kicks. The track trudges out with the same synth, and same sub-bass used in the vast majority of big room songs, and continues the genre’s monotony with a classic half-timing and raising of one octave for the second drop. Watch the video, and let us know what you think of this genre’s current outlook in the comments section below!

UPDATE: The video is actually a mashup of 3 different songs, one of them being Steve Aoki and Linkin Park’s collaboration “Horizons.” As a commenter pointed out, the drops are from R3hab – Samurai and MOTi & DVBSS – This is Dirty. It seems that only the vocals were from the new track. We’re sorry about the confusion.
