Kevin Vilkin [ROAR]

Kevin Vilkin

Kevin VilkinAge: 24

Kevin Vilkin began his career in the music industry in 2008 when he started Blue Mood Productions in Bozeman, Montana. Over the course of the next three years it grew into 36 markets across 11 states, eventually expanding into Latin America in 2011. 2012 saw Vilkin move to Chicago joining Jam Productions and where he helped start and develop the electronic music department, booking shows and producing festivals stateside. Vilkin left Jam for ROAR Management in January of 2014 to work in the freshly formed electronic music division helping to sign and manage acts like Paul Oakenfold and Morgan Page. Throughout this period Vilkin continued co-producing and talent buying the two largest outdoor winter music festivals in the world, SnowGlobe in South Lake Tahoe over New Years and SnowBall in Colorado in 2013 and 2014.

I have had the opportunity to be apart of some incredible teams over the past 6+ years and feel very grateful to have had some extraordinary mentors along the way: Don Sullivan (Madison House Presents), Adrian Zelski (New Earth Music) Ian Goldberg (Jay Goldberg Events), Chad Donnelly (Founder/Owner SnowGlobe & SnowBall), Bernie Cahill and Will Ward (Partners at ROAR). I work everyday to continue to learn from the way they conduct themselves, their level of integrity in every aspect of life, and the way they lead by example. It is up to us all to hold ourselves to a high level of accountability, if you are wrong, (often guilty), own it. Constructive criticism is a very important part of our culture. We all should be pushing ourselves and our fellow colleagues to be the best we can be.

Ages: 23 & 25

Krewella is an electronic dance duo from Chicago, Illinois consisting of sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf. They burst onto the scene in 2011 and were immediately recognized for their signature brand of vocally-driven electronic music. Soon after debuting their self-produced and self-released, chart-topping and critically-acclaimed Play Hard EP in June 2012, their progressive house anthem, “Alive” surged through radio stations leading to a PLATINUM CERTIFICATION. The group followed up with their debut album Get Wet in September 2013, which debuted at #8 on the Billboard Top 200. They have become world renowned for their infectious live energy, which has led them to headline some of the biggest festivals in the world including Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, Lollapalooza and Tomorrowland. They bring the rock to the rave. Always pushing boundaries, they are known for fusing elements of rock, pop and dance into a powerful electropunk hybrid that is known as the Krewella sound.

We are blessed with a global following in the dance music scene. The influence we could have on others gives us the responsibility to face every challenge and experience in our career with honor, tolerance, and forgiveness. The future of our music and performance will be a vessel to communicate these ideas and values that the dance music scene taught us.
