Our brother to the north, though oft forgotten and slated to the wayside, has produced a veritable compendium of talent that most forget about – A-Trak, Ryan Hemsworth, Venetian Snares, Kaytranada and of course deadmau5.
The Juno Awards, Canada’s response to the Grammy’s, will be held on March 15th in the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. We already announced that deadmau5 is up for Artist Of The Year, but now it’s confirmed that he will be performing at the awards show, as well. Alongside other great Canadian artists Alanis Morisette, Lights and others, deadmau5 will take the stage to perform his unique brand of music for all the world (or at least Canada) to see.
Previously announced performances include Arkells, Hedley, Kiesza, Magic! and Shawn Mendes. Toronto pop rockers Magic! go into the Junos with a field-leading five nominations, with dance breakout sensation Kiesza up for four noms, and rockers Hedley, Nickelback and Serge Fiori each earning three nominations.
The 2015 Juno Awards are to air live on the CTV network.
