The annual A State of Trance celebrations keep getting bigger and bigger. Miami’s lineup, though the smallest in comparison to the other cities, still holds weight as the celebrations takeover the Carl Cox Tent at Ultra Music Festival every Sunday. This year, the ASOT Miami lineup is arguably its most diverse yet, bringing in some of the most unexpected artists so far.
The two biggest additions to this year’s lineup are Andrew Bayer and Eric Prydz. Andrew Bayer, who is known for his light international touring schedule, will be making a rare appearance on one of the world’s biggest stages. Bayer also played this past weekend at ASOT 700 Utrecht alongside fellow Anjuna artists Jerome Isma-ae and Ilan Bluestone. Still, Eric Prydz’s inclusion on the lineup is the most significant. While ASOT is known for occasionally straying outside the lines of trance, Eric Prydz is known for his techno and progressive tunes. Prydz has already addressed festival goers with a tweet, promising fans that he would be staying true to himself and not play a trance set.
However, the other six supporting DJs on the ASOT Miami lineup will be sure to bring the uplifting music that the stage is known for. Joining Prydz, Bayer, and Armin will be: Mark Sixma, Heatbeat, Armada favorite Andrew Rayel, Miami native Markus Schulz, and Paul Van Dyk who also closed the ASOT Miami tent in 2013. ASOT 700 Miami takes place on Sunday, March 29, and will be broadcasted live on AStateofTrance.com A limited amount of tickets for Ultra are still on sale through their website.
