In my own personal opinion, when “Take Ü There” first came out, it was quite difficult for me to listen to. Even now, I won’t purposely choose to listen to it. But when I heard it live for the first time, that’s when I truly understood its value.
Some songs just aren’t meant to be listened to by yourself on headphones. Some of them absolutely require you to be around others in a fun atmosphere to truly enjoy a track. 4B’s remix of “Take Ü There” takes that statement to the limits. It breaks it down to just the most spastic parts of the song and creates a track that necessitates live play. The wonky bass horn is repeated ad nauseam and that characteristic snare of the original is done away with almost completely.
