If there’s one thing we’ve come to expect from Skrillex, it’s a seemingly non-stop flow of new tracks and, almost more often, collaborations. He works with everyone from fellow dance music titans like Diplo and Boyz Noize to hip-hop & rock icons like A$AP Rocky and Korn. He even manages to find the time to collab with exciting up & comers like Trollphace and JAUZ, lending exposure to their genre-bending sounds. There’s almost no one with an output that can match that of Sonny Moore.
As if to cement that fact, a new collaboration between Skrillex and Dutch jungle-genius, Wiwek , has just surfaced from a recent live performance. While it’s only a 15 second clip, there’s more than enough material to get excited about; from what we can gather, it seems to be a cross between dubstep and jungle, with some trap vibes thrown in for good measure. Wiwek‘s drum patterns mesh perfectly with the raw and gritty sound design Skrillex is known for. And best of all, this unreleased gem is almost certain to see completion sometime this year.
Check out the clip for yourself on Wiwek‘s Instagram and let us know what you think!
